Acupuncture, Moxibustion or Voodoo

Have you ever heard about Acupuncture, Moxibustion, or Voodoo?

Have you ever tried them?

Have you ever accidentally caused any injury like this to yourself or others?

Have you ever thought about which magic was used to create Snow White?

As children, we loved to play with dolls, and we were always interested in trying out new things.

Have you ever tried out voodoo?
We did.

Have you ever cooked and burned your finger?
I did.

Have you ever cut yourself accidentally?
I did.

Have you ever sewn or made some hand art with a needle and hurt yourself with the needle?
I did.

So than what is so special about Acupuncture and Moxibustion?

Acupuncture is part of traditional Chinese Medicine, which I learned when I studied Naturopathy.

So, what is the difference between a random accident and Traditional Chinese Medicine?

There are certain points in the body where the qi circulates. There are meridian lines for life energy circulation. The acupunctur points are on the meridian lines. When you have pain in a certain point, that means that somewhere in your body, the qi is not circulating properly.
With the needle treatment, you can improve your qi circulation and heal.

What is Moxibustion or Moxa therapy?

During my Naturopathy education, I also learned about Moxa therapy or Moxibustion.
In this therapy, the same points from acupuncture are stimulated with heat.
Moxibustion is also part of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Is Voodoo part of traditional Chinese Medicine?
Nope?

What is the origin of Voodoo?
"Haitian Vodou is an African diasporic religion. Not to be confused with West African Vodún, Louisiana Voodoo, or Hoodoo (spirituality)." - Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/
